Hot Dawg Comp

🌭 FLIP IT. CATCH IT. WIN IT.🌭

Get ready for the most absurdly entertaining showdown of the festival! The Hot Dawg Comp is back—and it’s meatier than ever.

🌭The Challenge:
Contestants must flip a hot dog (or sausage) tied to a string into their mouth using only body movement. No hands. No help. Just pure skill, swing, and sausage strategy.

🌭How It Works:
Each contestant wears a hot dog on a string, suspended from the waist.
Hands stay behind the back—no touching allowed.
Using jumps, swings, and head flicks, the goal is to flip the hot dog into your mouth.
A successful catch means the hot dog lands and stays in your mouth.
Fastest flip or best style wins!

🏆The Prize:
A slab of Alpine Lager—cold, crisp, and perfect for celebrating your victory.

🎭 Bonus points for flair, form, and comedic brilliance.
⏱️ Time limits may apply depending on the chaos.

Whether you’re competing or cheering from the sidelines, this is one event you won’t want to miss at Darker Days. Come for the beers, stay for the flips—it’s going to be a banger!

⏰ Time: 3:30pm
📍 Location: Darker Days Main Stage

The Rules

Start Position: Contestants stand at the starting line with the hot dog dangling in front of them.

No Hands Rule: Participants are NOT allowed to use their hands to assist in flipping or catching the hot dog.

Flipping Motion: Using only body motion (jumping, swinging, head movements), the contestant must flip or swing the hot dog into their mouth.

Mouth Catch: A valid catch requires that the hot dog enters the contestant’s mouth and stays there long enough to be considered “caught.” A brief touch does not count.

Time Limit (Optional): Some competitions may set a time limit (e.g., 1–2 minutes per contestant).

Judging & Winning: The first person to successfully catch the hot dog in their mouth wins. If time-limited, the person who catches it fastest or with the best form/style may win. Style points or comedic flair can sometimes factor into judging in informal events.
